Program Recognition

One of Residence Life's and Hall Councils' main goals is to reach out to the IUPUI residential community through programming. The Program Recognition Nomination System focuses on quality of programming and will allow those programs to be nominated and recognized by the HRL community. It also provides a common language of recognition to a variety of stakeholders including the student staff, supervisory staff, and hall council bodies. Nominated programs for all categories can include events for a specific floor/house, community, or for all HRL residents and can be sponsored by any student staff or hall council member.

Nomination Process

Nominations will be accepted from residents, student staff, hall council members, graduate staff and professional staff. Programmers can also nominate themselves. Programs should be nominated for one or more of the Recognition Categories. Nominations should be submitted online using a Program Nomination Form.

Award winners will be determined by a board that includes the Recognition and Programming Committee, Hall Council Members and campus housing residents. The nomination form and program evaluation form will be considered by the board when making final award decisions.

Fall Program Award winners will be announced during H&RL's End of the Semester appreciation event.
Spring Program Award winners will be announced during H&RL's End of the Year Banquet.
All winners will be posted on the H&RL webpage.

Resources include, but are not limited to, campus/community partners as co-sponsors or guest speakers, campus/community organizations as co-sponsors or active participants, advertising with JagTV or The Sagamore, other staff/hall council members as co-sponsors, and residents as co-sponsors or integral planners of the program. Programs nominated for this award should have a demonstrated creative use of resources not normally used by student staff/hall council programmers.
Award Most Relevant Program
